Cutting sheet material using waterjet cutting allows you to work with metal up to 300mm thick. The greatest efficiency is achieved when cutting metal with a thickness of 8 mm. The principle of waterjet technology is quite simple – a jet of water produced under high pressure is used as a cutter in machines of this type. Depending on the strength and thickness of the material being cut, an abrasive material is added to the water.

    With the help of a plasma cutting machine, steel up to 200 mm thick is cut. The cut turns out to be thin and neat – it does not need further processing. Active and inactive gases are used for plasma formation. Inactive gases include nitrogen, argon and hydrogen, while active gases include oxygen and compressed air. The use of a particular gas is determined by the processed metal.
